Paris Hilton Recorded Saying Most Homosexual Men Probably Have AIDS

PARIS Hilton insists she remains a huge supporter of the gay community despite being recorded saying that "most homosexual men probably have AIDS".

The socialite was caught on tape making the sickening claim during a taxi ride in New York on September 7.

Paris, 31, was recorded talking to an openly gay male model friend about gay hook-up website, Grindr.

As the pair were ferried across the city, the heiress’ companion in the taxi can be heard explaining: "Say I log into Grindr, someone that's on Grindr can be in that building and it tells you all the locations of where they are and you can be like, ‘Yo, you wanna f***?' and he might be on like, the sixth floor.’"

The shocked reality star replies: "Ewww. Eww. To get f*****? Gay guys are the horniest people in the world. They're disgusting.

“Dude, most of them probably have AIDS... I would be so scared if I were a gay guy! You'll like, die of AIDS."

The taxi driver who recorded the controversial exchange has professed shock over her outspoken words.

"I couldn't believe what was coming out of Paris' mouth and the way she was talking about gay men," he told website Radaronline.

But Paris' reps claim her comments have been taken out of context - and were merely meant to highlight the dangers of unprotected sex with strangers met on the internet.

Her spokesperson said: "Paris Hilton’s comments were to express that it is dangerous for anyone to have unprotected sex that could lead to a life-threatening disease.

"The conversation became heated, after a close gay friend told her in a cab ride a story about a gay man who has AIDS and is knowingly having unprotected sex.

"He also discussed a website that encourages random sex by gay men with strangers."

The rep continued: "As she was being shown the website her comments were in reference to those people promoting themselves on the site."

Paris' team have further explained that the audio clip represents only the tail end of a conversation.

Her spokesman reiterated: "The cab driver who recorded this, only provided a portion of the conversation.

"It was not her intent to make any derogatory comments about all gays.

"Paris Hilton is a huge supporter of the gay community and would never purposefully make any negative statements about anyone’s sexual orientation."
