The light-complexioned United Kingdom-based artiste, Rosemary Ebigwei Omoda, otherwise known as Awele, who come back into the country some months back after a long stay, said that she is here to release her new album and promotes the Nigeria music industry. The London-based music act returned to the country purposely to promote her music and also make her impact felt in the industry.
According to her I’m fully back in the country and I am here to do my music. I had been away for so long and it’s time to come back and promote my country. During my stay in the United Kingdom, I saw my country developing rapidly in the entertainment sector, the music industry in fast growing than other industries in the country, and a lot of talented young people in the country need attention and car to explore their talent ted young people in the country need attention and care to explore their talent in music. This is one of the reasons I came back into the country. My record label (Great Star Recording) is also there for me to work on and surprisingly a lot of upcoming artistes have been contacting my label through my Facebook and Myspace network”.
Awele has three singles to her credit in the United Kingdom and she will soon release her debut album titled, Do You Remember Me. The album contains 12 tracks. She said; “I have been working hard since I returned to the country because I am not here to have fun or relax. I am here to work for my country and promote the industry Firstly, I have to complete my album which I had been doing while in the UK. I have 7 tracks already and I have finished working on 5 tracks in Nigeria to make 12 tracks. I have worked with some wonderful producers in the country, through their effort, I believe all my plans will be accomplished absolutely”
“The album is ready and some of the singles are currently enjoying the airplay and the middle of next month, November, my 12-track album will be launched into the market.” Awele graduated from the University of Benin. She also studied Philosophy at the School of Economics in London, and she started her music by playing piano at the age of 9. A motivational speaker, she also loves to write. Awele has published a book titled, Uplifting Book of Wisdom and she is set to launch her new book titled, The Beauty inside Simultaneously with the album launch in November this year.
The Soul Blues and R&B artist described her style of music as comptemporary love songs, classic blues and soul music, which are full of motivational and inspirational messages. Awele started her musical career professionally in the united Kingdom, where she made her name and has performed in many shows, including MTV Base Award in London 2005. She has featured alongside American superstar, Joe and she has been doing well with her kind of music.
