My Hubby Strips Me In Public —Wife

An auxiliary nurse, Rashidat, who resides at 35, Akerele Street, Agege, has accused her husband, Lukmon Omoni, of stripping her in public places.

The 27-year old woman who filed a divorce petition at the Orile Agege Grade B Customary Court, Lagos, also accused her husband of causing the death of her last child.

“My husband always beat me. He was responsible for the death of my last child. The boy died 15 days after I gave birth to him. I got to know that our child died due to regular beating during pregnancy.

“Initially, I thought the child was an Ogbanje (premature) until the doctor told me otherwise. The doctor said the child suffered serious damage from the battering I was subjected to.

“He tells people different lies about me and does not behave like a man at all as he embarrasses me in public.

“He always tear my clothes and underwears in public and has no regard for me,” she told the court.

Describing Omoni as a wicked man, she said “there was a time he came to beat me up at my younger sister’s house. I was at the place to assist my sister who had just put to bed when he arrived and did not ask question before he pounced on me and tore my clothes to shreds.”

The accused, Lukmon Omoni, was not in court to defend the allegations against him and the case was adjourned for judgment.
